New England Security Employee Handbook 2025

22 You may not duplicate, copy, or give software to any outsiders including clients, contractors, customers, and others. You may use software on local area networks or on multiple machines only in accordance with applicable license agreements entered into by the Company. 6.3 Driving Record All employees required to operate a motor vehicle as part of their employment duties at New England Security must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. The Company may run a motor vehicle department check to determine your driving record. It is your responsibility to provide a copy of your current driver's license for your personnel file. Any changes in your driving record, including but not limited to driving infractions, must be reported to the Company. State law requires all motorists to carry auto liability insurance. It is against the law to drive without insurance. If you use your own vehicle as a part of your employment duties, you must provide management with a current proof of insurance statement or card. New proof of insurance is required every time your policy expires and renews. While your driving record is not necessarily a condition of your employment, inexperienced drivers or drivers with a merit rating of SDIP 4 or higher may not be eligible to drive company vehicles, thus limiting the number of job site positions available to you. We cannot guarantee a non-driving position at any time. 6.4 Employer Sponsored Social Events New England Security holds periodic social events for employees. Be advised that your attendance at these events is voluntary and does not constitute part of your work-related duties. Any exceptions to this policy must be in writing and signed by a Manager prior to the event. Alcoholic beverages may be available at these events. If you choose to drink alcoholic beverages, you must do so in a responsible manner. Do not drink and drive. Instead, please call a taxi or appoint a designated driver. 6.5 Employer-Provided Cell Phones/Mobile Devices New England Security may issue certain employees a Company cell phone/mobile device for work-related communications and/or operations. If you drive a vehicle during your employment, you may not use any cell phone/mobile device or other communication device while driving unless the device is equipped or configured with a "hands-free" listening/speaking option, and you in fact utilize the hands-free device. The Company owns and remains entitled to all cell phone/mobile devices issued to employees, including all passwords controlling access to them. You may not change those passwords except with permission. At the time of employment termination, all such equipment and passwords must be returned to the Company in operable condition. Violation of this policy may result in discipline, up to and including termination of employment. 6.6 GPS Monitoring of Employer Vehicles New England Security desires to strike the appropriate balance between today's technologies, your desire for privacy, and our interests in protecting Company vehicles, equipment, and drivers. Due to safety, efficiency, and other business purposes, the Company uses GPS technology to monitor the whereabouts of our vehicles at all times. Questions concerning vehicle monitoring should be directed to [email protected]. Questions
